Battery Cable

Popularly known as “pacifier”, the transmission of energy to recharge a battery through battery cables is today one of the main alternatives for charging a battery.

As simple as it may seem, the transmission of the battery by cables requires care and attention, if it is not done correctly, or if all precautions are not observed, this system could destabilize the electrical system of both cars, and damage the modules and electronic sensors.

With the Trali battery cables in hand, the first step is to approach a car that has a good battery charge, the cars must be in adequate proximity so that the length of cables can be connected to both batteries simultaneously.
Before making any connections, you need to make sure that all electrical components in the cars are turned off.

When the car has a short circuit in the electrical system or when the car is left for a long period with a component connected, such as: flashlights, radios, courtesy light, power module, or any system that consumes battery power , may lead to battery consumption, causing it to lose its charge, not having enough voltage to turn the engine.
How to make?

With both cars turned off, connect the cables. Start with the black cable (negative), it must be connected to the negative pole (-) of the battery of both vehicles (most batteries have the indication of poles + or -). Afterwards, the red cable must be connected to the positive pole (+) of each battery.
After the cables are connected, start the car with the good battery, wait about three minutes and start the car with the bad battery. As soon as the car starts, immediately remove the battery cables, starting with the black cable (be careful that the cable does not touch the red cable), then the red cable.
Batteries have an average duration of between 2 and 3 years, depending on the intensity of use. If the process doesn't charge the battery, and your battery is new, it's worth taking the car to an auto electrician or dealership to check other car components that may be affecting battery performance.
